Internship Experience

During her internship at Homemade Social, Stella Speridon-Violet gained hands-on experience in copywriting, content creation, and digital marketing for a diverse range of clients. She contributed to the development of engaging social media content, including: captions, graphics, and short-form video concepts for Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, helping brands maintain consistent and creative online presences. Stella also assisted in drafting PR pitches, writing blog posts, and coordinating influencer outreach, strengthening her understanding of strategic communication and audience engagement.

Through this role, Stella refined her ability to balance brand voice with storytelling, adapt messaging for different platforms, and collaborate within a fast-paced creative team. Her internship at Homemade Social deepened her skills in digital branding and cross-platform marketing, key strengths she continues to build upon in her work in public relations and media.

At Homemade Social, Stella Speridon-Violet managed multiple Instagram accounts for clients ranging from smaller niche brands to larger accounts with up to 40,000 followers, including 'Living With Lolo' (metrics pictured above.) Her responsibilities included creating and scheduling posts, writing engaging captions, and developing content that aligned with each brand’s voice and aesthetic. In addition, Stella provided her supervisor with weekly analytics reports, highlighting top-performing content, identifying trends, and offering actionable recommendations for improvement.

This experience strengthened Stella’s ability to combine creative content creation with data-driven strategy, allowing her to make informed decisions that drive engagement and audience growth. By analyzing performance metrics and translating insights into actionable strategies, she honed critical skills in social media management, brand optimization, and strategic communication—skills directly applicable to her ongoing work in PR, digital media, and campaign development.

During her internship at Homemade Social, Stella Speridon-Violet contributed to the creation of dynamic social media content for a variety of clients, including brands such as 'Mom Water.' She brainstormed creative concepts, researched current trends, and produced short-form video content tailored for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Reels. Stella collaborated closely with her team to ensure that all content aligned with each brand’s voice and audience preferences, while also experimenting with emerging formats and creative storytelling techniques.

This role strengthened Stella’s ability to translate cultural and digital trends into engaging, platform-specific content, enhancing her skills in trend analysis, video production, and audience-focused storytelling. It reinforced her capacity to combine creativity with strategic thinking, essential competencies for a career in social media and digital marketing.

During her internship at Homemade Social, Stella Speridon-Violet wrote engaging, professional copy for client LinkedIn accounts as well as Homemade Social and CEO Becca Booker's personal LinkedIn. Stella's goal was focused on translating complex data and insights into content that were both informative and accessible to a business-oriented audience. She analyzed performance metrics, including impressions, click-through rates, and engagement patterns, to identify which messaging resonated most effectively with each client’s followers. By combining analytical rigor with clear, compelling writing, Stella ensured that LinkedIn posts were not only strategically targeted but also easy to read and share, strengthening audience engagement and brand credibility.

As a Public Relations Specialist and Digital Marketing student at ASU’s Cronkite Agency, Stella Speridon-Violet worked closely with clients to develop strategic communications and marketing initiatives. She contributed to campaigns for Sun Devil Campus Stores, assisting with content creation, messaging, and digital engagement strategies tailored to the university community. Her role combined PR and marketing expertise, including media outreach, social media management, and performance analysis, ensuring campaigns were both creative and results-driven.

This hands-on experience enhanced Stella’s ability to translate strategic goals into actionable campaigns, craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences, and measure outcomes to inform future initiatives.
